Dear Parents, Families, Guardians and Students,
My name is Mrs. Wisniewski and I am so excited to be teaching at Baraga Schools this year. I will be teaching sixth, seventh and eighth grade science. I grew up in Hancock and attended Western Michigan University after high school. I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education and Biology in 2005.
I taught science and math for four years at a middle school in North Carolina along with also working in a Biochemistry lab at the University of North Carolina before moving back to Michigan to take some classes at Michigan Tech in hopes of finishing up my Master’s degree.
I love science and can’t wait to share my excitement for learning with you. When I’m not busy being a nerd I like spending time outdoors, enjoying the beautiful Upper Peninsula with my husband, Steve and our two dogs, Penny and Beans. Fishing and hiking are two of our favorite things to do during the summer and in the winter we like to ski and stay warm!
I am looking forward to a fantastic year teaching and getting to know everyone. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
Be Well,
Mrs. Wisniewski
